The Florentine renaissance is reborn in the parade event of Dolce and Gabbana

Dolce & Gabbana have chosen Florence for the presentation of their collections Haute Sartoria masculine and Haute Couture feminine.

The two stylists interviewed stated:
“The Renaissance has always meant for us the extraordinary, the pure creativity, the manual skill of the highest level, as well as the love for Italy, art and handmade have always been the cornerstones of our work”.

We at Beautrip join them by creating the project “Save the Artisans”

‘The Renaissance and the Renaissance’, this is the title of the event, which began on 2 September with the fashion show dedicated to men’s haute couture at Palazzo Vecchio, in the Salone del Cinquecento, the most important room of the Palace decorated with frescoes by Vasari.

To conclude on September 4 with the fashion show of women’s Haute Couture.

Do not miss the exhibition of the art cases of the artisans at Palazzo Vecchio until 15 October.

You can discover it with our experience “New Renaissance Bottega in Florence” with Barbara Chiucini.

During this period the city was the scene of an important calendar of events and a special project that directly involves local artisans.

The main aim of the project was to understand and respect the identity and specificity of each individual craftsman involved, bringing his creations into the spotlight of an international audience.

Precisely for this reason, no work has been commissioned but the designers have worked in total sharing with the artisans, to enhance the pieces that, already unique and precious, have often been pushed beyond their normal use, inventing for them a new identity.

They took away unique and extraordinary pieces that were accompanied by accessories and objects made by artisan workshops.

The calendar of events continued in the wonderful Italian garden of Villa Bardini, with the Baroque staircase and its unique panorama of Florence, and ended at Cantine Antinori.

The display cases containing the works of the artisans will be exhibited at Palazzo Vecchio, in the Courtyard of Michelozzo, They will be open until 15 October.
