PRODUCTION AREA: Montebello di Poggio Torriana, altitude 400 m a.s.l. The soil is sedimentary, originated from chalky marl. Vineyard age: 20 years, facing south-east.
GRAPE VARIETY: Merlot 40%, Cabernet 40%, Sangiovese 20%. Bourdeaux clones of Merlot and Cabernet and Tuscan clones with small Sangiovese grapes. Planted with sapling and espalier.
PRODUCTION: the average production is 6600 bottles. Density of about 6000 plants per hectare with a yield of 60 quintals per hectare. The grape harvest and selection are carried out by hand with thinning in the vineyard. Since 2017 we have obtained the organic certification.
WINEMAKING: in steel.
AGING: cement, barriques and bottle.
